LUKE MILLETT (PRODUCER): Hey guys, welcome to episode 542 of the Chiro Hustle Podcast. I'm your producer, Luke Millett, and here's your host, James Chester.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): So today we had the opportunity of interviewing Anil Gupta. And if you want to hear what this love doctor has to say about the perfect partner program and relationships, stay tuned. Welcome back! This is another episode of the Chiro Hustle Podcast. Today I have Anil Gupta on with me, former optometrist. So there's probably some parallels with our chiropractic audience that you guys are going to see today. This is episode 542 of the Chiro Hustle Podcast, and before we jump into this episode, you guys always know I give the big why. Why do we do what we do over here at Chiro Hustle? Well, first things first is the First Amendment. I think that's really important. It gives us our quality of life here to be individuals and to speak our minds. So one thing I've never done is censored anyone on the show. So that's really important. I, on the other hand, have experienced what they do on big social media platforms with shadow bands and down regulations. So I would never do that to anybody. And with that being said, we also believe in medical freedom and family health freedom. They're not the same thing, but we believe people should understand them quite clearly. And I know that today we're going to have a conversation on clarity about love. And I think that as we understand that more, if you love yourself a lot, you'll probably want to retain your ability to have medical freedom and family health freedom. So I think love is going to come into a lot of our conversation today because, Anil Gupta is the love doctor. He's helped many, many people in this, this world doing workshops and organizing gatherings for 14 to 20 years. He's helped many celebrities retool themselves to find more value within themselves. And I think that the conversation is going to be really impactful for the chiropractic doctors today. But as I, as I finished the opener, we believe in subluxation based chiropractic. If you don't know what that means, go to your favorite search engine right now, pause this interview and go find out what subluxation and chiropractic means. And then we also protect and support BJ Palmer's sacred trust. He was the developer of chiropractic. And he creates something called the sacred trust. I believe every chiropractor should know about it. Guard it well. And then lastly, we believe in innate intelligence and universal intelligence. We believe that when man or woman of physical gets adjusted by a chiropractor, it connects them to man or woman, the spiritual. And with that being said, thank you Anil Gupta – welcome to the show.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Thank you, James, for welcoming me on the show. Thank you for allowing me to be a guest and my intention and my promises that will give you a great deal of beautiful content that you immediately apply.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Well, I think it's going to be a dynamic connection. We met each other at the 10x Growth Conference out in Las Vegas this past February. And I don't know how we ran into each other, but we were in the same circle. We started talking and I said, Hey, I run this podcast. I'd like to have you on as a guest. And it's taken us a few months to get that on the books. But here we are today because I told you that we are booked up all the way until July. And it's true. So here we are today and I have you, the Love Doctor on with me. So I know we're going to talk about how to inspire chiropractors. We're going to talk about some tools, just a methodology that they can learn from today's interview. And you want to help them provide some clarity so they can have long-term effect with themselves and their families and their practice members and those closest to them. So how can we inspire chiropractors with your message today?
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Well, you know, I used to be an optologist for 20 years and after a while you lose the reason you became who you became. So a lot of chiropractors get lost in the in adjustments and then they forget why they join the profession and the reason they join the profession is to save lives because a lot of lives are saved. A lot of family situations are saved and a lot of trauma is saved. So really you're not in the business of adjusting anyone. You're in the business of creating beautiful families. You're in the business of happiness. You're in the business of love because when you when you heal a loved one, everyone gets to benefit. The kids get to benefit, the kids get to benefit, the family gets to benefit so that there's a big, big, big ripple effect in the work that you do. And I've experienced it myself. You know, my wife had a problem with her knee and the orthopedic surgeon said, oh, we need to operate. We need to operate. My chiropractor said, no, don't worry. I'll fix it. And he did. And that saved us so much pain and it gave us such a deep love for him and he has no idea the impact he's made on our lives and very grateful to him.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): You know, I think that that is inspirational. And that's a part where I'll get a bit more philosophical with the chiropractic messaging. Chiropractors always say that they save people's lives like with their care they provide. And it's not like an ER doctor where you put it like a defibrillator on somebody and you bring them back to life. But they say they save people's lives from the path of sickness and disease and infirmary by keeping their nervous system finally healthy and functioning at the highest level capacity because there's no subluxation cutting off the supply from nerve flow to brain to body from brain to body to the vagus nerve to the organ system. Like the whole system works better when we don't have subluxation. So I think what you do is help unsubluxate the mindset and help clear out the above at with subluxation which is the mindset and the brain about how they think and they behave about things, you know, because there's a time where I went out and I did a ton of marketing. And I would tell people if I don't tell you the truth today about chiropractic someone else will close you for drugs or surgery. And I think that if we don't tell people the truth about love, they might have no lasting purpose. They might not leave a legacy. They might not know how to self-regulate. So I'm excited to hear about how we can take these ideas and put them to use with good methods and strategies. Yeah.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): And you know, one thing I just felt is that, you know, the work that a chiropractor does is this they add more years to your life and more life to your years. Amen. That's such a beautiful thing and, you know, if we can inspire chiropractors, if we can inspire their patients and their patients, patients, we can prevent their demise, their early demise because honestly, a lot of people die at the age of 25, but they're not very till 70 because they're leading mediocrillised they have no energy. And you know, you talk about subluxation, if you have your spinal cord aligned, everything works. You get energy, you get vitality, you get nutrition, you get your life back. And it's vital and, you know, people don't realise the compounding effect of that over a month, a year, 10 years, 20 years, 30 years is huge. And the compounding effect of that on the family is huge too.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): You know, I've been doing some deep work on myself and learning more about end utero programming. And a lot of times I always believe that people that get adjusted women, like when they're like in early stage pregnancy and like later stage pregnancy, they have easier birth. 40% quicker delivery times. Less shots for the pain, you know, and I think that a lot of the things that are vibrational within a parent, when they're at more of a sense of ease, the fetus and the womb gets more love because the person's actually taking care of their body and themselves as they're going through the process of being functionally fit for birth.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): I agree. And I think it's also a physical phenomena in the fact that the neutrons can get to the fetus and the quality of the neutrons will be enhanced and the energetic value is enhanced. And people don't realize that there's an energy around everything and it's all vibrational. So when you have great vibrational energy and entering the fetus with nutrients, with energy with love, with exceptions, it makes a difference.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Yeah, there's a quantum shift in people and you can tell a kid, like seriously, you can tell a kid, a Chiro kid that's been adjusted since birth all the way into life. They have a different light in their eye. They have a different clarity of the way they see the world because they're not subluxated. Their nervous system is clear. They've never taken all the shots. You know, they haven't eaten all the terrible foods. They haven't lived like a non-chiropratic lifestyle. So I think that there's a lot of love that goes into making good choices for how a child is born all the way into their development.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): And especially in infants, if you can address misalignments earlier on, it stops the misdiagnosis of ADHD, ADD, autism, blah, blah, blah. And that's only my opinion. You know, I don't have any proof of that. But I firmly believe that it makes a difference.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Well, we call it being cleared. The chiropractor clears the nervous system with their adjustment. And when you have a clear functioning nervous system, you vibrate at a different frequency. And I was talking to you about like the Hertz. There's a frequency of love. It's 528 Hertz. Like you can't. It's just the truth. There's a frequency and a vibrational force of love, and it's a Hertz frequency. So I think that if people really want to dial into that, they should meditate daily on frequency of 528 Hertz. And you go to YouTube and find many, many videos that you can just listen to that will like tune you up. And I think it's like anything. If you eat more vegetables, you have more vitality. If you drink cleaner water, you have better hydration. You know, if you listen to things that give you empowerment, then you become more empowered. And I think that that's really what these stories are that we capture on Kairo Hustle. They're little time capsules of energy and information that one person can listen to one episode and they could have their trajectory or their future change forever. Because we said one thing today about love and a chiropractor got their spirit back to go back to practice full on.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Yeah. And you know, that one decision, that one small shift makes a difference. It makes a difference and extrapolate it over 5, 10, 20, 30 years. Not just in your life, but in your patients life and your patients, patients life and your patients, patients, patients, relatives and families. We underestimate the impact that we have.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): So let's talk about those attachments. Let's talk about practice life a little bit and let's talk about being the caregiver a little bit. What can chiropractors do to find more love in their private practices?
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Well, it starts by looking in the mirror in a luckiest self first. Ask yourself, why did you join this profession? Was it because of the money? No. It's because you want to make a difference. So the secret is, as an optometrist for 20 years, the secret is communication. And this is something that bothers me. You go into a chiropractic practice and the nurse says, Mr Smith, Mr Smith, that really irritates me. Find out what he's wearing. Dr Gupta has a big red heart on his black shirt. Sort of shouting his name out, say Dr Gupta. We're ready to see you. It is our pleasure to serve you. So it's not what you say, it's how you say it. You know, if you go to an Apple store, they never do that. As soon as you walk in, you have an appointment. They'll know, take what you're wearing, what you look like so that someone can come up to you. And it's the small things that are the big things. When a patient comes in, say, Mrs Smith, it's my pleasure to serve you. It's my pleasure to look after you. Thank you for trusting me. And in that moment, she feels safe. In that moment, she will trust you. In that moment, she will let go. In that moment, she's already started the healing. But if you just slam people on the massage table and start treating them and you don't talk to them, you don't ask them what's going on, you're doing yourself a disservice and you're doing them a disservice. I know we have busy practices. I get that. But just a few words at the right time at the right place, a handshake. Whenever I go to my practice, my practitioner, always a handshake, how your husband, wife, has your son, as your daughter, 30 seconds. But it sets me up. Oh, he cares. He loves me. He knows me. He knows my family. He's going to look after me. I feel safe.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Yeah. And I think that that's the part where most chiropractors spend their second fortune. They spend the second fortune after their college tuitions on coaching and how to communicate. I swear, every chiropractor I've ever interviewed, they have had coaches their entire career. That mainly, what they're trying to learn is how to talk to people. When I was blown away, when I first got into this profession 15 years ago, I'm like, you guys are paying people to teach you how to talk to people. This blows me away. I'm like, you guys just don't know how to talk to people. That's weird. So I was really taken back when I realized that like professionals like doctors don't understand innately how to have conversations with people. They had to be coached on that.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Yeah, because they would have a guided, you know, everything is clinical. Everything is black or white, but you can have a bad practitioner, not so, you know, not as good as another practitioner with amazing bedside manners who get better results than a good practitioner with bad bedside manners.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Sit back and learn from the greatest influencers in the profession on the world's number one chiropractic podcast. Please remember to subscribe to our channels and give us a 5-star rating on iTunes to continue hustling.

Let's hustle!
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): You know, one of the things I always joke around to my doctor buddies is, hey, even the guy that finishes last in class is still a doctor. Isn't it true?
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): And it's not necessarily the worst doctor. He may become the best doctor because he cares.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Yeah, an aptitude doesn't translate to application. Like, you could be the smartest person in the whole class and not know how to adjust or move a bone. And then you're destined for a life of academics and teaching.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Yeah, yeah, so true.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Yeah, so let's talk about this relationship model. You said that the person that comes in gets the care. It makes an impact on them. It can have an impact on their familial circle. It can have an impact on their vocational circle. It can have an impact on the family's friends of friends. And now there's a relationship with somebody for that community to trust. Maybe you can just share a little bit about how that relationship has an impact.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): So it has a huge impact. And I actually do coach practices. And I asked them, look, how would you like to double your income in six months? I would like to do that. So this is what you do. At the end of every examination, thank the patient. And ask them this question. Do you know anybody in your friends or family circle that would benefit by having a free adjustment? It's low hanging fruit. You don't have to spend a lot of money advertising on social media. Just ask people, look, if you're happy with my service, and obviously you have to provide great service, would you mind sending me some of the people that you love so that I can take care of them? And the first session is free on me because if I deliver amazing service to them, they will stay with me not just one week, but maybe the rest of their lives. So you've got to look at the LTV, lifetime value. And also, there may be someone suffering in the family, but they've never thought of sending them to you. And why should they suffer? You're doing them a disservice by not offering your service. And the thing is you're not selling your service, you're giving your service away. You're giving your skills away. You're giving your knowledge away, and you should give everything you possibly can away so that the patient gets the benefit. And not just the patient, but whoever comes in with the patient because they see what you're doing, they feel who you're being. They feel the vibrational energy. And it's huge.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Yeah, you know, me being in marketing, I just had a call with my team. And we were talking about the relationships, how people trust us. And how getting like a phone call patient is much different than if we have great results with the client. And I said, hey, you have to go work with carahousal marketing. Like it's a no brainer. Those guys are great. The guys done this much for the profession. He's, you know, positioned himself to help every chiropractor they could possibly do. And you have to work with them. But it's different that if we had a call list and we're calling them and say, hey, this is carahousal marketing, we would like to earn your business today. What are you struggling with? It's a whole different conversation. So when you're talking about asking for those internal referrals and we're doing a good service and earning business through trust and earning business through giving away your best stuff, like it changes the dynamic of the relationship. And I think that we can all learn from that. That might be the best marketing advice of the century.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Yeah. And, yeah, I urge every chiropractor to look at their hands and notice. How amazing these hands are, what they've done for people. They've been magical, magical instruments of love.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Well, you're talking earlier about lifetime value of a practice member or patient. And chiropractic, everybody's, they flex their muscles about PVA patient visit average. And that's over the lifetime of that patient. So if they can retain somebody and see them a hundred times over their lifetime, that's a massive PVA because they're seeing that person possibly every two weeks, possibly every month, over a hundred visits. So if we can keep people healthy and into that chiropractic lifestyle, we keep them with more opportunities to do things that they love, to spend more time with people they love, to have a healthy lifestyle which promotes love and prosperity. And I think it saves them from career burnout because they're building that community within their practice where it's not a very promiscuous practice. I think that that's a problem within a lot of offices and a lot of practitioners and generally even optometry. You don't build lifetime relationships with those people. If you're lucky, you do, but you're only seeing them once every six months, once every year. So it's not like really like serving them. But with the chiropractor, they go into working care plans with their patients. A person signs up for 24, 36, 48, whatever the visit plan is, and they get a chance to earn that person's business and serve them and take care of them and nurture them back into vitality and wellness and quality of life. It improves their activities a day of the living. Like everything gets better. And I think that that's a part where chiropractors are different within the medical world. And chiropractic is different because they do pride themselves on taking care of people from first breath to last breath.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): And you know, James is so true. And the beautiful thing is you get to be thanked by the patients. They say, thank you, doctor, for helping me. Thank you, doctor, for helping my friend. Thank you, doctor, for helping my wife. I would do anything for you. And I work, you know, my doctor's name is Dr. Roland Kia here in celebration. I would do anything for him. He says, honestly, because he's looked after me. I remember a time I couldn't walk and he treated me. My wife had a serious knee injury that may or may not need a surgery. He didn't flinch a muscle, fixed it. My daughter had some problems, my son had some problems, my dad had some problems. I sent everybody to him because I know that he will give them love and care. And I know that they're in the best hands. So there's nothing greater to me to receive the care and love, but also to give this to my friends and family.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): You know, I did patient testimonials for a while when I first got into the chiropractic profession and I would always ask people, what was your life like before chiropractic? And I'd get that sound bite. And I would get the sound bite. What's your life like now because you've been under chiropractic care for X amount of visits? And then the last thing is, would you recommend our services to your friends and family and fashion it in a way where you say, of course, I'd recommend my friends and your services to my friends and family. I already have. And these are how many people I've invited into this practice since I've been here. And that's the truth is if you went through and you asked your roster of patients on a daily basis, those three things, you'd build a firmer relationship with them. You had no originally why they came in. You'd find out what's going on and how they've improved now. And then they would tell you how many people they've referred in. And if they have it, that's a good time to ask them for some referrals.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): You know, one of the key aspects of a chiropractic practice is the receptionist. You know, you've got to teach them to smile. You've got to teach them to say, Hey, this is three things chiropractic practice. Thank you for calling him a said. Oh, you'd like to become a patient, right? May I ask, how did you hear about me? Did someone refer you? He said, Oh, yes, you know, Joe Smith referred me up. Let me take his number and I'll make sure that I thank him. Then Joe Smith gets a call. Hey, Joe, this is three things chiropractic. Thank you for sending Mr. Jones in. We will take great care of him and he means a lot to us. Thank you so much. Every referral we will treat like family and happy to receive any other referrals. Who does that? Well, it's simple, but it's not easy. Yeah, you have to have a system.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Yeah. And in chiropractic, they're called CAs, chiropractic assistance. But I take it one step further. I call them chiropractic angels because they're the real ones that are in the offices that are manning that control station that controls the whole flow of the patient experience. If they're dialed in and tuned up and unsublexated and eating right and taking care of their bodies and having good quality of lives with their families, that's going to have a direct impact on the quality of life for that practice and for that treating doctor and for the other people within that practice. So we have to make sure that we're always making the best quality of life for that chiropractic assistant or as I call them chiropractic angels.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Yeah, it's beautiful. And you know, one thing I told in my practice is that if you're sitting down and a patient enters the practice, you stand up. You're honoring them. Don't remain sitting down. Don't be doing other things. Give them immediate attention. Smile at them. Thank them and be courteous and loving and treat them like there's no other person on the planet that needs your attention.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): One of the fun, interesting takeaways that I'll share with you is one of my friends as a chiropractic coach and she'd always tell people that we're in office environments. If you're leaning, you're cleaning.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): If you're leaning, you're cleaning. What's that mean?
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): So if you don't have anything better to do, clean something. Okay. And it goes into the behavior modification of somebody that's manning that front desk is, you know, you should have a responsibility to keep showing up and to not be so passé with your position that you don't acknowledge the fact that there's people in front of you. And I think this is a big takeaway. The person in front of you is 90% more important than anybody on the phone. 90% more important than anything that you could be doing on a text message or on a social media. Like 90% the person in that office in front of you needs to be rescheduled for their next visit or they need to pay you some money. So I always urge people to have that person that meets and greets, to have a few things that they do, make sure they're collecting money and treating people really well while doing so and making sure that the person has their next visit scheduled period. Yeah.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): And, you know, the kindness and love that they show is heard by all the patients in the waiting room too. So they think, oh, Mr. Smith was a referral. I didn't know I could send people. So, you know, it's a way of being, it's not a doing, it's a way of being.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Yeah. And always, thank you for your referral, Mr. Smith. Elevate the voice just a little bit more.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Beautiful.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): Well, at the end of this, this interview, which I really appreciate you being out with me for episode 542, you said you do some coaching, you have the happiness formula that you do, you have the happiness test, you have the perfect partner program. I know that there's a suite of things that you do, you hold workshops. If people wanted to reach out to you or work with you, where are some places we can send them? And if you can offer any way that people can get in touch with you, where would we put them in touch with you?
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): The best way is to email me, anil, A-N-I-L-A-S, meetanil.com. And my website is meetanil.com. And I have a special gift in the world of relationships. It doesn't have to be intimate relationships. It could be the relationship you have with your staff, with yourself, with your wife, with your partner, with your business partner, with your patients, how to communicate. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. And if you really want to elevate the quality and really the ethos of your practice, it becomes more valuable. And guess what? If you need more money, when you decide to retire, you could sell it for more and lead a richer for a happier life. And I understand how your practice works. You know, I've experienced chiropractic. I live and breathe chiropractic, but I'm also 20 years in the optometry profession, so I can bring a different perspective. I have my eyes on you.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): And you have your love on them?
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): I do.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): And that's a really special thing. And the love doctor has been in the house. Go to Anil, an email him, Anil at meetAnil.com and go to meetAnil.com as the website. And do one of these assessments with him. Learn how to love yourself more. Learn how to love your profession better. Learn how to love those near and dear to you with more ethos, as Anil says. And learn how to find your path and enjoy it to where you can have more prosperity, more vitality, more abundance. And then you can give love and serve. And chiropractic, Anil, they say, give for the sake of giving, love for the sake of loving, serve for the sake of serving, expecting nothing in return.
None: Beautiful.
JAMES CHESTER (HOST): And with that, Anil Gupta, episode 542 of the Chiro Hustle podcast, I'm going to close up by telling everyone, you're just one story away. Keep hustling. I'll see you guys on the next episode. Thanks so much.
ANIL GUPTA – THE LOVE DOCTOR (GUEST): Yeah, thank you, Chev. Thank you, everybody.
