Move the Story from PAIN to BRAIN in Chiropractic with Dr Michael Lea DC – Chiro Hustle Podcast 344

Dr. Michael Lea was a three-sport athlete growing up in Northern Indiana participating in football, baseball, and wrestling. After sustaining a career-ending injury, he was inspired to become a doctor to educate others to live life at a higher level.

He attended the University of Indianapolis where he studied Exercise Science and graduated in 2016. He gained a deep appreciation for evidence-based practice during his undergraduate training. After graduation, Dr. Lea began his Chiropractic education at Logan University. While at Logan he excelled at the many different hands-on applications required to become a Chiropractic Physician. He was offered an adjunct faculty position upon completion of academic study.

Prior to graduation, he completed a preceptorship at St. Louis Upper Cervical learning foundational principles of both Blair Upper Cervical and Orthospinology. He then accepted an Associate Position at Getting Weller to train under his mentor, Dr. Eddie Weller. In 2020, he was named the Chief Operations Officer of TIC for the TOR to pursue a lifelong passion to educate other doctors and students pertaining to the science, philosophy, and art of Chiropractic. He has served as an instructor of TIC for the TOR, particularly focused on the neurological impact that an adjustment has on the craniocervical junction. He has enrolled and taken several courses via HarvardX to pursue additional training in neuroscience. As an avid academic, he has begun training through the Carrick Institute in pursuit of becoming a Diplomate in Functional Neurology.

Most recently, he has co-authored a textbook educating the profession on the implementation and interpretation of thermography in the modern practice titled, Infrared Thermography: Chiropractic’s Clinical Desk Reference.

Dr. Michael Lea is in the process of opening his own practice, Crossroads Brain & Spine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He will be the only Upper Cervical Specialist in Indiana that utilizes both infrared thermography and non-surgical spinal decompression.
